I love my job. Bye Bye Birdie had their 50th Anniversary Party at Sardis in New York and invited me to photograph their event. I covered the 35th anniversary with my father Cor and it was such an honor to be called back for the 50th. It brought me wonderful memories covering the event with “pops” One actor recalled how she remembered me for the 35th and it really made me feel special. Gene Bayliss was the choreographer for Bye Bye and he was an incredible host. I met Charles Strouse who is the Tony winning composer and lyricist along with Stephen Schwartz the composer of Godspell, Pippin and Wicked. Actors from The Chapin School performed a number from the show, and they were incredible.

I love the beach. I always said my life is 2 miles and back, or to the beach and back. It smells nice, it sounds soothing and it always looks so beautiful. This is a family portrait I photographed at Burrying Hill Beach in Westport. This is a little further than 2 miles for me, but I guess sometimes you have to travel far to get a good shot.
