Amanda and Chris were married at The Barns at Wesleyan Hills  This is great venue located in Middletown. The venue includes a great rustic barn for after the reception, as well as an exceptional yard for the Ceremony. There is also a beautiful pond that includes a fountain. Inside the barn there is an amazing balcony where we  could shoot down at the dance floor. The weather was wonderful for the whole shoot, and it is a location I would recommend for those getting married.

I thought this was genius! Bubble maker hidden in the flower girls bouquet.

Macro lens shot of the rings hanging from a fisherman’s hook.

Watches for the grooms gift.

Love some black and white.

My favorite portrait lens. 80mm f 1.8

I hoisted my monopod up high for this aerial shot. Set the camera to a time exposure and shazam…….

Kids are great! They had an awesome time. But you have to be quick shooting them or you might lose them.

Formal images are all apart of the day. It helps when you have real interesting backgrounds..

One of the featured events at The reception was the chance for the bride and groom to fry some donuts.

This was my first time at the newly renovated Shorehaven Golf Club, and they did an amazing job with the remodel. There’s no better location for a wedding photo shoot than a golf course because it is always kept in beautiful condition for the golfers, and therefore the photos always look great. Another part of the renovation that I love is a spacious new patio that makes walking around and taking great candids of people socializing and having fun effortless and enjoyable. We also used the drone for the first time at a wedding, incorporating both video and photography to capture overhead shots. I had a great time shooting the wedding itself and the party that followed, and everyone had a lot of fun celebrating the newlyweds.

Shari and Jeff were married at The Dolce in Norwalk. I have been at Dolce before, but back when it was a GE office complex and we would photograph brides on the premises. This day was too rainy and cold, but in the past we would shoot the bride in a bunch of different places on campus. One was a little island in the middle of the pond, another was a barn at the entrance of the property and another was the building itself, which has a nice rustic and sometimes modern effect. For many years, I have known Hazel, the banquet manager . Hazel used to work at The Silvermine Tavern, home of the sticky buns, the best buns in the universe. Now she is is leading the bride and groom through Dolce, a very nice venue. To the delight of all of the guest,  the party continued upstairs  where they were able to socialize, wind down and play some pool. Great night.

Fairfield County is home to many fine restaurants. One of my favorites is Southport’s Artisan Restaurant. I have photographed many events their and I really enjoy the atmosphere and the elegant back drops. The lighting itself is really nice. I feel the fixture bulbs and the ceiling reeds are really cool. Casey and Clinton had their wedding ceremony upstairs and said their vows in front of the fire place. It was a very intimate ceremony with family only. Afterwards, a hundred and fifty guests partied until the music died. My high school friend Paul Locano of James Daniel’s Entertainment  was the wizard spinning music for the guests. Pure fun.23456789101112131415161718192021222324252627282930313233343536

Chris an Happy were married  at Fairchild Wheeler on Saturday’s blizzard. What a great time for a wedding. My wife has a GMC Yukon so I really had no problem getting to the wedding. Chris was my college room mate at Flagler College and I was really excited to be there to capture his wedding. It was funny, the moment we got outside the biggest gust of wind came along and almost knocked the bride over. they were good troopers though and the day was wonderful. Chris is a tour guide in Africa for Tauck Tours and he met Happy in Africa. They have a little adorable girl Victoria named after Chris’s mom who passed away. What great energy! And I am so happy to be apart of their special wedding.
